Paul Meesawat - Chef and Owner
Born and raised in Thailand, moved to Las Vegas in 2000 after earning a degree in Architecture. He went to Le Cordon Bleu, graduating in 2005 with honor roll while working at the French Michelin Star Fleur de Lys, where he became Executive Chef in just 5 years. He later joined Caesars Palace, in charged of 4,000+ rooms, 16 Villas for High Roller, Celebrity, and 5,000+ staffs daily. He then followed his roots to opened What’s Zaap? Thai Food—a new beginning inspired by real Thai flavors.

What’s Zaap? Thai Food was created to bring the real flavors of Thailand to Las Vegas. Every recipe is inspired by years spent growing up around Thai kitchens and markets, where food was made from scratch with care. That same tradition guides everything we do today. Our restaurant at 9575 W Tropicana Ave #1, Las Vegas, NV is all about sharing the taste of home with everyone who walks through the door.
